Setting up and Managing Raids Raid Organisers: level 80 raids (excluding OS and VoA) can only be entered in the calendar and organised by raid organisers. These are currently designated as being the guild leaders and the officers, and in certain circumstances any other member of the guild previously given permission by an officer/guild leader. Should anyone other than these designated organisers make an entry for Naxxramas, Ulduar or any other level 80 raid other than those excluded above, they will be requested to remove it. Any member of the guild are allowed to place entries for VoA, OS or sub-level 80 raids. Raid organisers do not have to attend, or be raid leaders, but they do organise who is selected to attend, etc. Raid Leaders: raid leaders can be anyone selected by the raid organiser, and doesn’t necessarily need to also be the loot master. The raid leader or raid organiser may choose a loot master. Complaints: should there be a complaint regarding the raid, or raid group, or member of the raid group, the raid leader should be informed via /w. If the complaint is regarding a raid member, the complainant should also speak to the offending member. If the complainant does not feel that the matter has been resolved, they should (a) ensure they have explained fully the problem, (b) confirm what action, if any, the Raid Leader has undertaken, (c) explain to the Raid Leader that the complainant does not feel a resolution has been reached, and then (d) approach the Guild Leader. If necessary, please be ready to provide screenshots of any offending behaviour.Gear Please check your stats against those on the Gear Check page (Naxxramas Gear Check) and be aware that these are minimum requirements. If you do not quite meet the minimum please sign up as stand-by and put in the notes ‘borderline’ but please do not be insulted if someone is selected who meets the gear requirements – in the same way a ‘better geared’ player may not be selected for the early bosses in order to give a borderline player an opportunity. Some bosses require that we use the best geared players available or specific classes. If you need to farm a particular instance for a particular piece of gear to increase your stats please use the guild calendar and state your needs in the description. Essential AddOns
These addons are not required, however, depending on your class/spec, you may find them useful: Decursive for classes that have any "remove curse" type abilities. A very small, inconspicuous addon which aids removal of curses on raid members. Healbot for the healers amongst you - similar idea to the Decursive addon but for healing. Sign-up Preference will be given to players who have signed up. All sign-ups will be manually accepted/put on standby. Please check the Group Calendar for updates as to your raid status. If you have multiple characters that are raid ready please sign up with your preferred class and state details in the sign-up notes, e.g. holy priest and hunter available. Inclusion in one round of bosses does not guarantee you a place for the next round (please see comment in gear requirements). Please note .. it is NOT acceptable to complain that you never get picked, if you never put your name down! Those on one night's run are not guaranteed an invite to the second night's run. Conversely, if people are not picked for the first night, they would still have a chance to be picked for following night's runs. Please ensure you are not "locked" out of the instance prior to putting you name down. Protocol Only Raid Organisers may set up a raid event for Naxxramas on the calendar. Raid Organisers are generally of officer rank, unless otherwise stated. Often the Raid Organiser will also be the Raid Leader, however, this is not always the case. Should you wish to become a Raid Leader, or want to "have a go", please discuss this with the current Raid Leaders and the Guild Leader of your guild. Please be aware that you should have at least a basic knowledge of all areas of the raid you wish to lead - ie, various techniques for trash pulls, boss kills, etc. If you need/want to leave at a particular time please let the raid leader know before start (most raids will usually finished between 12midnight-1am server time/11pm-midnight UK time). Please be online by the start time (unless otherwise arranged with the raid leader). If absent during raid setup you will probably lose your place, and could possibly cause the entire raid to be cancelled. Make sure that you have necessary buff foods, potions, ammunition and reagents prior to raid start time. Always come fully repaired. Loot Loot is dealt with using the "Master Looter" in-game system. Any loot on "your" body is automatically yours if it is green quality or below. Any "blue" or above items will be dealt with via the Master Looter system, which means that everyone will get the opportunity to inspect the item, but only those who can actually use the item are able to roll for it. Need rolls are class and spec needs…greed rolls are off-spec desires. Please inspect the item to be rolled for prior to rolling to avoid misunderstandings. "Need" means that it would be an upgrade AND is targeted for your current spec (if you are not sure what this means, please check out the forum thread here). Should an item drop that is Bind on Equip, everyone in the group should roll "Greed", regardless of class, level, spec, etc. Should a member of the group, or indeed the guild, wish to open negotiations with the winner of the item they must do so privately at the end of the instance run, at a suitable time to be agreed between the two parties If no-one wants an item, it will be disenchanted at the time of the drop and the resultant shard, etc, will be rolled for by everyone at the end of the run. If more than one shard is gained during the course of that run, the top two (or more) rolls will win one apiece. Should any members no longer be present during the rolling process, a current member of the raid group will be asked to roll on their behalf. Complete chat silence is required during a roll. Loot in Groups other than Raids For any instance/party groups outside of the usual raid environment, unless otherwise stated (prior to the start of the run!), the normal Blizzard Group Loot system will be used. This means that for every item that is "green" quality of higher, everyone will automatically be asked to either pass, greed or need. Should an item drop that is Bind on Equip, everyone in the group should roll "Greed", regardless of class, level, spec, etc. Should a member of the group, or indeed the guild, wish to open negotiations with the winner of the item they must do so privately at the end of the instance run, at a suitable time to be agreed between the two parties For Bind on Pickup items, only "Need" if it is an upgrade in your current spec. If there is an enchanter in the group, everyone should either "need" for an upgrade to their current spec (or, if no-one wants it, for off-spec - but please ask first), or pass. The enchanter will then Greed. Any shards will be rolled for at the end of the instance. If there is no enchanter in the group, then unless the item is needed, simply greed in order to vendor the item. Amended and updated 16 October 2009 | ||
