Welcome Welcome to the Dark Wolves website.  Using the navigation menu to the left you can check out general information about the guild, guild rules, visit the forum and more.  In order to get access to the full site, you must be a member of the Dark Wolves guild, register and verify using the password supplied in-game.

Should you not be a member, you can still register, and get access to more of the website, but there will still be areas (primarily in the forums) that will be off-limits.  For more information and help on how to register, please see the forum post here.

Please remember that, if you are a member of Dark Wolves, not only do you need to register, but you also need to verify your registration, which is simply matter of clicking the flashing red "Notice" option at the top of the screen, or clicking on the "guild" tab in the Character Management section, and putting in our password, which can be obtained in-game.  It is recommended that you at least register and verify your highest ranking character in the guild, should you have more than one, as certain parts of the site are rank-dependant.

If you are not currently a member of Dark Wolves, but wish to join, please check out our guild rules and then fill in the application form and we will contact you shortly.

Guild Alliance Meeting

Posted by PoisonenvyJune 12, 2009 at 6:24 am
The Minutes from the recently held Guild Alliance Meeting are now available for anyone to read here.

Also, I have started a new thread called Suggestion Box - if there's anything you'd like to see discussed at either the next Guild Alliance Meeting, or the next Officers Meeting, or just generally, please reply to that post and I will either try to deal with it straight away, or let you know if it will be discussed at one of the next meetings.

There is a new poll which you will see on the website on the right hand side asking what times you would prefer to raid.  We are considering trying to organise one of our raids at a slightly earlier time, but need to know numbers of people who would attend an earlier raid.  Please vote!

Please ensure that you have registered AND VERIFIED with this site.  Registering allows you access to certain more public areas, on any WoWstead website (our host), however, you need to verify in order to see and take part in the majority of sections on our site.  Veryifying simply means you need to input our password in order to confirm that you are a member of Dark Wolves.  Once you have done this, you can attach all of your characters to your account, which means that they can be assigned loot in the Raid History section.

Raiding Update and Promotions

Posted by PoisonenvyJune 10, 2009 at 2:31 am
Congratulations to all those promoted this week to full members of the guild:

Caemlyn, Emperior, Exantomus, Herkthedeath, Herkvarius, Kritania, Mooniverse, Ohmnom, Seliner, Sweetwhisper, Waldiadk and Waldmage.

Can everyone please remember to register and VERIFY with this website in order to gain maximum access, and also to allow any loot drops to be assigned to you should you raid.

Further to the recent Guild Alliance meeting, as you may be aware we are now trying to organise two Naxx-10 runs per week.  The first run will be on a Wednesday and Friday and will be classed as the "training" run, the second will be on a Thursday and Saturday and will be classed as the "progression" run.

Obviously both of these raids will be in the same place, with the same content, the same bosses, the same loot.  The only difference being that the first run will be a slower, more relaxed run, with time for explaining boss tactics, and for those who are at the lower end of the minimum required stats (ie, 1500dps or slightly higher for dps classes); the second is for those who do not need the bosses explaining, will be faster and more frantic, and for those with much higher than minimum dps.

As Naxx is an instance made up of 4 quarters, each of which may be taken in any order, the training run may go into any of these sections, but is unlikely to see the final bosses due to their slower speed.  As the faster run will comprise of those who need no explanations, hopefully it has more chance (but definately not guaranteed) to see the final bosses.  For those of you who don't know, the final two bosses may only be encountered once all four quarters are cleared in the same week (each week starts on a Wednesday).

What Else Needs to be Said?!

Naxx is Cleared!

Naxxramas Progression

Posted by PoisonenvyJune 7, 2009 at 9:16 am
Huge congratulations to everyone who helped in Naxx last night, and to all those who put their names on standby - it was an excellent group effort which resulted in the clear of all the "normal" bosses, and the downing of the first of the two "main" bosses, earning us the achievement of Sapphiron's Demise

One of the items that Sapphiron drops is the Key to the Focusing Iris, which results in gaining the Key for Eye of Eternity and starts another quest off.  As this was a unique item and ideally needed to be gained by someone who would be available regularly for group raids, the raid members had a vote as to who should receive it, and it was overwhelmingly voted that I should receive it.  Thanks for the support guys :-)  Once we've worked out where it is (!!), what to do in there and what sort of group we need, we'll get a run organised.

We have a return to Naxx scheduled for tonight, to hopefully bring down the final boss in Naxx, which will mean that we have finally completed clearing Naxxramas Normal -- yeyyy!

Guild Alliance Meeting

Posted by PoisonenvyJune 3, 2009 at 7:26 pm
A guild alliance meeting has been scheduled for this Sunday coming at 7.30pm Server Time/6.30pm UK time.

Amongst the items to be discussed are various changes/updates to how we raid.  For example, we are getting a lot of complaints about how long it takes to get a raid started PAST the time that it was due to start.  This is primarily due to people either logging in late, or not turning up at all, although other causes also include not being prepared with buff foods, potions, etc, prior to the start time.

Should anyone have anything additional they wish to be discussed at this meeting, please let me know in this thread.

Thanks.

Website Registrations

Posted by PoisonenvyMay 27, 2009 at 6:48 pm
Please remember to register and verify your highest ranking character in the guild at a minimum or you will be missing out on a huge range of information and chat.  If you raid with multiple toons, please remember to add each additional character as well, so that we can show what loot they gained in raids *grins*

Roster Changes

Posted by PoisonenvyMay 26, 2009 at 6:55 am
Congratulations go to Daggent, Furyhorror, Gongo and Raichers who are all now full members of the guild and on the Cub rank.

The following members have also been promoted:

Kyriea, Skryke and Zhauren were promoted to Juvenile;
Aranir, Cameo, Ervelina, Hoescht, Indigosky, Lloryl, Raaknar and Takhisiss have all been promoted to Wolf.

Congratulations to you all.  Please remember to check out the guild rules page for information about the various ranks.

Due to inactivity, Galhan and his Alts were demoted from the officer rank, to the highest relevant rank below officer.  Please see the latest minutes for information regarding this.

Also due to long term inactivity, the following members were removed from the guild:

Berthold, Lathgorinard, Mondeno, Glofingaloné, Calez, Caleza, Dracones, Grimsted, Carnege, Morrígan, Mehungry, Deathones, Sargeant, Jilac, Zogarr, Cosmicdeath, Evilcut.

Should any of these characters be yours and you wish them re-invited into the guild, please let us know.  I have tried to only remove those characters who are either "one offs" (not alts), or alts where ALL of the characters have been inactive for a long period of time.  This is obviously only possible if you have all your characters marked as such in the Public Notes.  If they aren't, and you can't amend your notes, please ask us to do it for you, otherwise you risk inactive characters being removed from the guild.

Can I also please stress the importance of reading and understanding all the information in our Raiding Guidelines - at a VERY MINIMUM you need to be very close to the minimum requirements for your class in order to enter a raid group for Naxx, etc, and you MUST have the required addons.  We are slightly more flexible than a PUG group, where if your dps is below the minimum you would simply be removed from the raid without discussion, however, the dps guide is there to aid the whole group in Naxx - the group as a whole must have a certain amount of dps in order to down the bosses - if you come in with low dps then you are not only letting yourself down, but you are letting the whole raid down and making all the fights a lot more difficult, if not impossible.

For the Horde!

Posted by PoisonenvyMay 15, 2009 at 5:13 am
We are trying to organise a raid to complete the For the Horde achievement.  We need as many as possible to sign up to the raid, as high a level as possible, but minimum level 75.  Please have a look at the forum post here for more information on how to successfully complete this achievement.

Update: Congratulations to everyone who attended this event - we managed to kill two of the alliance bosses with very little fuss - the dwarves and humans were lucky this time, but they're on notice!  Congratulations to those who managed to get into another raid later on in the evening and complete the achievement for their new War Bears!
